The following data is stored locally on your phone and never transmitted:
- Your favorite verses and personal notes
- Spiritual Journal entries — your private reflections, mood journals, and general reflections
- Mood-Based Journal — journal entries linked to specific emotions (gratitude, anxiety, hope, etc.)
- General Reflections — freeform journal entries for daily spiritual reflection
- Verse Notes — personal notes attached to specific Quran verses
- App settings (theme, font size, preferred translation)
- Your name (if you chose to share it during onboarding)
- Search history and mood exploration statistics
- Emotional check-in history and progress tracking
- Listening journey statistics (audio recitation time, streaks)
- Cached Quran surahs (for offline reading)
- Cached mood-based verses (for faster loading)
🔒 Your reflections are completely private. We never see, access, or transmit your personal notes, journal entries, emotional check-ins, or favorites. Everything stays on your device. The Journal screen is also screenshot-protected for additional privacy.
To provide a seamless experience, we cache data locally on your device:
- Quran Surahs: Full surah content is cached for offline reading (stored up to 1 year)
- Mood Verses: Verses for each mood are cached for faster loading (stored up to 6 months)
You can clear all cached data anytime via Settings → Clear Cache. This removes both Quran surahs and mood verses from your device.
To improve the app experience, we collect anonymous usage data via Firebase Analytics:
- Which moods and features are most popular
- App crashes and errors (to fix bugs)
- General usage patterns
This data is completely anonymous — it is not tied to any personal identifier, device ID, or account. We cannot identify you or trace any data back to you personally.
📅 Data Retention: Anonymous analytics data is retained on Firebase servers for up to 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted. Aggregated reports may be kept longer for trend analysis.
🚫 Opt-Out Options:
- Device-level: Go to your device Settings → Google → Usage & diagnostics → Turn off
- Limit ad tracking: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
- Complete opt-out: Uninstalling the app stops all data collection immediately
We never collect or transmit:
- Your email address or phone number
- Your location
- Your contacts or photos
- Payment or financial information
- Your personal notes or favorites
- Your mood selections or emotional check-ins
- Your journal entries or personal reflections
- Any data that could personally identify you
Quran Comfort includes features that involve sensitive emotional and spiritual data:
- Mood Selection: When you select how you're feeling, this is stored locally only
- Emotional Check-ins: Your check-in history stays on your device
- Journal Entries: Both mood-based and general reflections are completely private
- Progress Tracking: Streaks and statistics are calculated locally
🛡️ Privacy by Design: We intentionally built Quran Comfort so that sensitive emotional data never leaves your device. There is no cloud sync, no AI processing, and no server-side storage of your personal feelings and reflections.
Why we made this choice: Your emotional and spiritual journey is deeply personal. We believe this data should stay between you and Allah, not on any company's servers.

Quran Comfort displays non-intrusive advertisements to support free app development. We work with the following ad networks:
- Google AdMob — Primary ad network
- AppLovin — Ad mediation partner
- Meta Audience Network — Ad mediation partner
Ad Types & Placement:
- Banner ads on selected screens
- Occasional interstitial ads between content transitions
- Ad-Free Zones: The Quran reader, mood check-in flow, and journal screens are completely ad-free for an uninterrupted spiritual experience
Data Collection by Ad Networks:
Ad networks may collect device identifiers, ad interaction data, and general location information to serve relevant ads. This data is handled according to each network's privacy policy.
🚫 Opt-Out of Personalized Ads:

- You'll still see ads, but they won't be personalized
